Course Description:
This survey course will examine the use of alternative methods of resolving disputes. In addition to studying the law and ethics relating to mediation and arbitration, students will learn about other forms of dispute resolution such as collaborative law. We will also explore cognitive barriers that may impact success in mediation and experienced lawyers will share their advice on how to effectively represent clients in mediation.
