Course Description:
Students learn trial advocacy by presenting opening statements, direct and cross-examination, objections, motions to the Court, final arguments and other aspects of trial practice. Students will also address issues of evidence laws and civil procedure raised in the simulated trial practice problem. The course culminates in a jury trial. Student presentations will be videotaped for individual critique. Students will also learn how to use courtroom technology for displaying evidentiary exhibits or visual aids and will be asked to use this technology during their presentations.

Students who have taken Trial Advocacy will not be allowed to take this course.
