Through his work with the Sandra Day O'Connor College of Law's clinics, Selwyn (Chuck) Dallyn supervises student attorneys representing indigent clients in state and federal courts. He also teaches courses in lawyering and professional responsibility, evidence and trial advocacy.
Before joining the ASU faculty in 1983, Professor Dallyn worked for five years as a Special Assistant U.S. Attorney on a joint federal/state task force prosecuting violent felonies and hate crimes. Prior to that, he was an Assistant Attorney General in Iowa, where he prosecuted “white collar” crimes in addition to violent felonies, and he also is a former managing attorney for an office of the Legal Services Corporation that provided legal services to low-income residents of central Iowa.
