Course Description:
Artificial intelligence (AI) is nothing new. However, it has had immense gains in capability and public availability in the past six years with the advent of true Generative AI. This course aims to introduce students to the impact AI has on the practice of law, including exploring how the use of AI intersects with lawyers’ professional duties, the business of law firms, and how AI is reshaping the way legal services are delivered. This course’s main objective is to provide an understanding of AI technology, including how it works and how it could be applied in the practice of law.
