Course Description:
This course will survey the “system” of international intellectual property law. The course will examine the major instruments and institutions that govern or comprise the international system. In addition, the major doctrines of international intellectual property law will be examined in light of domestic (U.S.) and some comparative legal systems.

All students must have had at least one course in intellectual property and a course in international law is strongly recommended. Students who do not meet these prerequisites must seek permission of the instructor to enroll in the class.
