Course Description:
This course explores effective client interviewing techniques from initial intake through witness preparation, for both an adult client and a child client. Students will learn how to build trust and rapport, provide client-centered counseling, and apply trauma- informed lawyering principles. The class will also focus on preparing clients for trial, including developing their ability to testify confidently and participate actively in their representation. Through discussions, practical exercises, and simulated client interactions, students will gain hands-on experience in applying these essential skills.
