Course Description:
Members of the seminar will meet each week to discuss some of the most interesting and important cases decided by the U.S. Supreme Court in recent years, as well the Court's increasing use of its emergency docket. We will read and discuss unedited (and, alas, often lengthy) Supreme Court decisions in order to assess the quality of the reasoning of the various opinions and to discern and critique the judicial philosophy of the individual Justices.
