Course Description:
In this course, students will learn about Professional Responsibility as it relates to Arizona Legal Paraprofessionals (LPs). In particular, students will learn about, analyze, and apply the Model Rules of Professional Conduct (also known as the Ethics Rules) to scenarios that LPs may encounter as they engage in this career. Among other things, students will work to understand situations where conflicts of interest may arise and how to avoid or resolve them. Students will also address a wide range of duties an LP owes to clients and former clients, and in particular, duties related to loyalty and confidentiality.
