Brad's career in private industry was as both a business executive and lawyer. His work prior to ASU, included positions as a public company CEO, private company CEO, in-house general counsel, and law firm partner practicing corporate and securities law. At ASU he has been a faculty associate for more than 20 years, at both the College of Law and at the W.P. Carey School of Business. He joined ASU full-time as Director of Business Law at the W.P. Carey School of Business from 2017 -2024.
His work experience is in business management, finance and law, across a range of industries including technology, aerospace, defense, financial services, and energy. He has substantial Wall Street experience and served on the boards of directors of both public and private companies.
Prior to his positions in enterprise, his legal career included as an in-house general counsel and private practice in three Phoenix law firms concentrating on corporate law and finance, IPOs, securities, mergers and acquisitions, strategy, corporate governance, restructurings, refinancings, and complex U.S. and international transactions.
His executive roles as CEO included Simula Inc., a publicly traded company that he led through a successful corporate turnaround and merger. He was subsequently CEO at Southwest Solar Technologies Inc., an energy company; Gradient Analytics Inc., an independent stock research firm; and, Ninety Plus Holdings LLC, an international coffee grower and distributor
Brad has published a number of articles and been a frequent public speaker. He is a member of the State Bars of Texas and Arizona (ret.) He earned his LL.M. from Columbia University School of Law in New York.
