Complete Description:
An event surrounding the release of Manifest Injustice - a book by Pulitzer Prize winner Barry Siegel about one of the Arizona Justice Project's oldest cases- the case of Bill Macumber. The Arizona Justice Project is a nonprofit organization that relies almost completely on volunteer attorneys to represent indigent Arizona inmates with claims of wrongful conviction or incarceration. The Justice Project works closely with the Post-Conviction Clinic at the Sandra Day O'Connor College of Law. Generations of ASU law students worked on the Macumber case, which ultimately resulted in his freedom after serving nearly 37 years in prison.
