Abstract

This article is the third annual review of the Arizona Supreme Court's published opinions. This third review covers the period from August 1, 1999 through July 31, 2000. In this period of review, the Arizona Supreme Court has continued to give meaning to the Arizona Constitution, to interpret the laws promulgated by the Arizona Legislature, and to develop the common law of the state. In so doing, the Arizona Supreme Court has rendered many decisions of legal significance and public importance. This annual review provides a summary statistical analysis of the supreme court's decisions, followed by a detailed student-authored assessment of specific decisions from the year under evaluation.
