The Fellowship is structured as a series of clinical experiences, offering a progression which gives the Fellow exposure to many areas of indigent defense work.

The Fellow is selected through an application and interview process.

The Fellow is expected to spend the summer term in the Public Defender Clinic, which fulfills the professional skills requirement for graduation, the fall term at the Maricopa County Public Defender’s Office, and the spring term at the Federal Public Defender’s Office.
