Randolph J. Haines

Adjunct Professor of Law

Randolph J. Haines, a U.S. Bankruptcy Judge for the District of Arizona, teaches Bankruptcy and Chapter 11 at the College of Law. He was in private practice at the Phoenix law firm of Lewis and Roca, representing creditors, debtors, trustees, committees and debtors-in-possession, from 1978 until his appointment to the bench in March 2000. He also served as a Chapter 11 trustee and examiner.

Professor Haines’ memberships include the American College of Bankruptcy, Scribes, The Selden Society, the American Bankruptcy Institute and the National Conference of Bankruptcy Judges. He is the Editor-in-Chief of the American Bankruptcy Law Journal, and a Managing Editor of and frequent contributor to the Norton Bankruptcy Law Adviser.
