Scott F. Gibson is Managing Partner of Gibson Ferrin, PLC in Mesa, Arizona, where he helps businesses and their owners protect their intangible assets from disloyal employees and unfair competition.
Mr. Gibson is a three-time alumnus of Arizona State University, receiving his Bachelor of Arts in Journalism (summa cum laude) in 1983, and his Juris Doctor (cum laude) in 1986. In law school, he was Executive Editor of the Arizona State Law Journal, and a member of the Jessup International Moot Court team. He also was a member of the inaugural class for the College of Law’s program in Biotechnology and Genomics, graduating with his Master of Laws in 2007.
After law school, Mr. Gibson was a law clerk to the Hon. L. Ray Haire at the Arizona Court of Appeals. He served for 16 years as a judge pro tem with the Maricopa County Superior Court. Mr. Gibson also has served as a member of the Executive Council of the Employment and Labor Law Section of the State Bar.
Mr. Gibson is a frequent speaker and author on employment law issues. He has received the highest ratings possible from AVVO (“Superb”) and from Martindale Hubbell (“AV”).
