Andrea M. Esquer is the Assistant Director for the ASU Homeowner Advocacy Project. This project provides assistance to families facing wrongful foreclosure or victims of mortgage fraud scams. As Assistant Director, Esquer is responsible for community outreach as well as supervising the day to day operations of the office. The ASU Homeowner Advocacy Project utilizes ASU law students to assist in representing these clients and also engaging in policy work, advocacy and community outreach on housing law and related issues. Esquer joined the Sandra Day O’Connor College of Law in 2011.
Esquer has experience in both the executive branch of the State of Arizona, where she was Press Secretary for former Arizona Attorney General Terry Goddard, working with the management team on media relations involving complex legal issues, and in the federal government. She was the Associate Deputy Director for White House Presidential Personnel, and served in the Clinton administration as a Special Assistant to the Administrator of NASA, and a Special Assistant to the Deputy Secretary of Energy.
A 2011 alumna of the Sandra Day O’Connor College of Law, Esquer received a 2011 Dean’s Award and was a Willard H. Pedrick Scholar.
