Professor Of Practice

 

Michelle L. Gross serves as the Director of the Lisa Foundation Patent Law Clinic as well as developing and teaching the core curriculum of the Masters of Legal Studies, Patent Practice concentration program. Her instructional focus is on training students on the practical applications of laws and rules pertaining to transactional intellectual property practice, namely the practical aspects of patent and trademark application drafting and prosecution. In addition to her membership in the Arizona and Illinois State bars, Professor Gross is also a registered Patent Attorney and is licensed to practice before the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office.

Professor Gross has practiced with the intellectual property firm of Booth Udall Fuller, PLC in a vast array of intellectual property areas, including patent and trademark prosecution, patentability, validity and infringement analyses and opinions, intellectual property licensing, and foreign patent and trademark procurement. With a background in physics, Professor Gross has experience drafting and prosecuting patents in electronics, optics, telecommunications, medical devices, computer hardware and software, business methods, semiconductors, renewable energy sources, financial and business services, wireless mobile device applications and general mechanical fields.
