Jeff Roth
Adjunct Professor of Law

 

Jeff Roth has been a Deputy Public Defender in the Maricopa County Public Defender's Office since 1997, and represented indigent defendants on a variety of felony cases until 2005. Professor Roth subsequently assumed the day-to-day supervision of the Public Defender Clinic at the College of Law from Dan Lowrance. Along with his work with the Clinic, Professor Roth regularly assists in the training of new deputy public defenders from all indigent defense agencies throughout Arizona, has been an instructor at a local trial college and also has conducted presentations to experienced lawyers on specialized topics in criminal law. Following his graduation from the College of Law at ASU in 1996, he clerked for then-Chief Justice Thomas Zlaket of the Arizona Supreme Court.
