Abigail Lee Jones

Abby Jones retired in January 2016 from her role as the Vice President of Compliance and Corporate Secretary of QEP Resources, Inc., a mid-cap, NYSE-traded company based in Denver, Colorado. In that role, she advised the company during its 2010 spin-off from Questar Corporation, the creation and subsequent IPO of a midstream master limited partnership, and later the divestiture of the midstream assets. She has substantial experience with corporate transactions, governance, compliance and ethics programs, proxy drafting, shareholder proposals, say-on-pay votes, and annual meetings. She is licensed to practice law in Colorado, Arizona and Utah.

Abby serves on the board of Best Friends Animal Society a national organization whose mission is to end killing in America's animal shelters. Best Friends operates the country’s largest no-kill animal sanctuary, and runs spay/neuter and adoption facilities in Los Angeles and Salt Lake City (and will be opening a facility in New York in the spring of 2016). She has held several roles with the Society of Corporate Secretaries and Governance Professionals on the local and national levels, and has been a Society member since 2004.
